Job description | A Free Arts NYC’s Annual Art Auction event will take place in the Spring of 2019. The candidate will support in both creative research, planning, and administrative support: research and outreach for event partners and sponsors opportunities; assist with writing press releases, artist bios, marketing and pitch docs and other copy; create props for the event decor; support social media efforts via Instagram. Includes compiling a social media list for all artists, sponsors, committee members and celebrity/VIPs; support special event team with administrative duties when needed; including mailings, phone calls, RSVP’s, picking up artworks and research; work with staff and volunteers at the event; assist with other events and fundraising initiatives as needed.

Compensation package | To be determined during the interview.

Candidate qualifications | An interest in both the practical and creative aspects of event planning, development, and marketing work; knowledge of nonprofits, art, and google sheets is a plus;  excellent communication skills, meticulous attention to detail, the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and a willingness to learn; fluent in written and spoken english.
