Job description | Contribute to the Investment Team’s objectives by providing market research outputs that will help guide the key macro risks in its current portfolio and pipeline, as well as help identify opportunities to strengthen the risk profile of transactions. Desired Outputs: design and Methodology for understanding macro risk; completing Country Reports; credit enhancement instrument landscape.

Compensation package | KSH 40.000 per month (starting compensation). The first contract will have a 6 months duration (extendible).

Candidate qualifications | Deep interest and basic knowledge of macroeconomic and political risk in sub-Saharan Africa; Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g. finance, economics, international relations, etc); demonstrated excellence at writing reports (e.g. market entry reports, sector analysis, company due diligence), ideally at a previous internship/ employer in the investment or management consulting space; demonstrated interest in the renewable energy sector; strong drive, attention to detail, and a self-starter with a high degree of intellectual curiosity; strong problem-solving, data handling and analytical skills; excellent time management, organizational and communications skills; proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite of products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) is required.
